TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — A local couple who was featured on ABC's hit show Shark Tank back in 2014 is giving an update on their success during Friday night's episode.
We caught up with Gameday Couture to find out how life has been after the tank.
"This is where we have samples on display," said Shawnna Feddersen, CEO of Gameday Couture.
On Friday morning, Feddersen showed us her office warehouse in Jenks.
"This is where we do a lot of our fittings. We do cuts and fabrics," Feddersen said.
She and her husband, Kurt, who is also the president of the company, pitched their fashionable women's game day apparel on Shark Tank back in December 2014. They received an investment of $500,000 from billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban.
"Since entering the tank it's been a whirlwind. We have obviously been very blessed and very fortunate to grow. We have almost tripled our licenses," Feddersen said.
A variety of company's collection is sold in more than 700 stores in the U.S. Most recently the company landed a partnership with the NBA.
"Very long nights and long days. Seven days a week. But that is OK. We knew what we signed up for whenever we went on and we are in it to win it, " Feddersen said.
Right now the couple and Cuban are working on strategies on how to grow their company to $25 million in sales.
"With Tulsa and Dallas being so close we are in constant contact with him every week," said Kurt.
The couple said a large part of their success is thanks to the community.
"Some of the first retailers that we ship to give us our first book of business we still have today and they have been instrumental in giving us a platform to grow from," Kurt said.
"They have been on board since the beginning and we more than appreciate that from the bottom of our hearts," Feddersen said.
The update of Gameday Couture airs Friday at 8 p.m. on Shark Tank.
